Home a week into COVID lockdown, after months in foster care and a previous home or two that didn't stick. It took her a while to believe this one was actually forever — now she's independent, theatrical, and always ready to let you know exactly how she feels about it. Still tests that privacy fence on a regular basis, which is why she never leaves the house without her Fi collar.

Same rescue as Birdie. Maisie's owner had health issues and couldn't keep her anymore, so Jennifer texted the rescue that had Birdie to ask if the two would get along. They did. Food-obsessed, velcro-attached, and operating on her own schedule — and she runs a full car-door inspection every time Jennifer gets home before deciding it's safe to be thrilled to see her.
